A Rough Draft of The Future We See
Do you want to explore the vastness of space and help build a great civilization while expanding humanity's potential in both the fictional game universe as well as the real world? We invite you to explore the deep mysteries of SFEOS' existence and her involvement in the continued protection of humanity in a far distant future universe. In the game, SFEOS is a sentient AI born from the distributed consciousness that came into existence in our own world's near future - a "fictional" future when Machine Learning AI and Distributed Apps merged.
In the simple to play, 2d Web Scroller game SFEOS, you will be able to create your character's own legacy by playing in the style you find most enjoyable. If you want to be a leader in research and development, feel free. Do you want to colonize distant planets or build spaceports that will rival anything ever seen before? You can attempt it. Are you desiring to be a military power, where no one dares cross your path without permission or where you protect the innocent from evil with your awesome might? You can do that too. Perhaps you are a humanitarian and want to spread good will across the stars. The only limitation is that you are playing the game with others attempting to build their own legacies. You can be in conflict or team up with others. It's totally up to you.
Have you ever thought to yourself, "Wouldn't it be awesome to get paid to play video games?"
Well, with SFEOS you will get paid in cryptocurrency, for what we are calling "Proof of Participation". As a player you will be creating the ongoing epic story of the SFEOS universe as you play the game. For that, you will get rewarded for everyday that you complete your actions. With those rewards, you can either build up your founder shares for the game and have influence on the future development, or you might use the funds to expand your influence within the game by purchasing resources from an entirely player ran economy.
We are building a free to play, open source game that will fairly pay its initial founders over time, its ongoing players daily, and will pay for its own continued development long into the future, as long as the game continues to attract players and keeps the attention of the veterans. This game, as envisioned, will be so much more than just a game. It will be a model of what could someday eclipse the traditional models in almost every industry, both public and private. We are just now in the infancy of what is today known as the Distributed Autonomous Community. This new paradigm is letting us divorce ourselves from the centralized, "profit is everything", "zero sum" thinking that we have shackled ourselves with because it's all we have know. There is a different way, and we want to show people on this new canvas.

Become Part of the Founder Team
We are officially inviting you to join us as initial founders, as we attempt to bring SFEOS online. We need community first and foremost of all. Without community we fail. We need creative folks who can spare a little free time each day, week, or month. If you are a creative person of any kind - illustrator, designer, writer, musician and/or songwriter, voice actor or someone who loves drama, script writer, programmer, web designer, 2d or 3d artist, game designer/developer, etc.- we could use your help. No, rather, we need your help, in any limited capacity you might be able to provide it. We need your help in changing the world's paradigm, with a simple, 2d Web Scroller game called SFEOS.
Some Notes About Rewards
We know that many people will not be able to commit a ton of time to this project. There are a few of us who are living and breathing the project as time goes on. Those folks who are spending a lot of time on the game, creating content and mentoring others within the community, are part of a group we are calling The Meritocracy. Together The Meritocracy decide what a task is worth in Founder Tokens. It can be a bit arbitrary, but we try to be fair. Up until now these Founder Tokens are just spreadsheet entries. We are planning to create actual bitShare User Issued Assets that will not be tradable until we port them over to EOS sometime after the network goes live.

What Are Founder Tokens Worth?
It is planned that Founder Token holders will be able to pick up extra resources at the ports and have influence within the DAC (Distributed Autonomous Community). Those resources come from "fees" paid by players who use ports to do bulk actions. The percent of Founder Tokens someone holds determines the percent of the "fees" (ie resources) they will get. We have no way to know how much these resources will be worth in a player driven economy. If lots of players join SFEOS in the years to come, and because resources are limited, and because the game will continue to get better over time, those extra resources should eventually be worth something pretty substantial. Those received resources can always be used for the founder's own crafting. This is not meant to be a get rich quick platform. It's about creating value for everyone who plays and helps to make SFEOS an awesome experience for everyone. Oh, and because we want things to be a little challenging, we are going to make founding player resources only available at the ports where they are collected. Either the founding player will have to pick them up themselves, or they will need to maybe hire out the work to an enterprising captain who makes deliveries… There are lots of ways we can go with this.
How can non-content creators get Founder Tokens?
There are folks who are not content creators, but who want to help out and support the game. For you, we are going to open up task funding opportunities, on a first come, first serve basis. There will be times we need to pay for things. Some examples are prizes for contests, paying for some quick turn-around on some art, some special design work, etc. We will do a post on the blog explaining the opportunity, and how to sponsor the need. The person(s) who do help will get Founder Tokens in return.

We are currently running an art contest to find talented artists who want to create content. I'm currently paying out prize winnings totalling 38 SBD to the winners. This is currently going to come out of my wallet and I will get Founder Tokens for paying for it. I'm roughly giving myself 1 Founder Token per USD value. If you instead want the Founder Tokens, you can help with the cost of the prize pool. Just know that right now the founder tokens are only spreadsheet entries. If you do receive Founder Tokens, you will get read access to the Founder Token spreadsheet. Please comment below if you are interested. We are envisioning a lot of future opportunities like this.
