Like many, I used to be quite optimistic about EOS but the entire situation with block.one kind of worn me down and I have kind of lost the energy to keep up with everything going on with EOS. I have heard that there are improvements being made again and I still use sportbet.one which has been a great dapp even though real adoption remains a major bottleneck.
I still hope EOS will make some kind of revival as I like the tech (and still hold some EOS from way back)
