User Samupaha asks where the realistic proposals are then. ‘So far we have seen only abstract proposals which work in paper but no real world implementations yet.’ He states that nobody has yet explained how it’s possible to get the same effect of ‘’binding & enforceable rules for everyone’’ with second layer dispute resolution.

There are two ways to deal with defaulting parties: through court or by voting them out. The ECAF opponents believe in the voting mechanism as sole remedy. I believe that stand is extremely naive. I believe in professional dispute resolution. Such as the ICC. I am not an ECAF opponent but I believe for ECAF to meet the standards it needs to quickly become better funded, larger and hire seasoned lawyers to ensure due process. Then ECAF could compete to become or remain the ADR solution of EOS.’

User Tanish asks user Samupaha to remember that we have mainstream businesses on internet without any Internet Core Arbitration Forums. ‘The reason for mainstream businesses not adopting blockchain ecosystem is because of high cost barrier to entry and slow technology. We already have entities like Zimbra looking towards blockchain space and entering EOS ecosystem.’ User Samupaha: ‘All those businesses are following rules of at least one country. They are not working without any base-layer rules. And we can see how international business on the internet is risky. There are a lot of bad actors everywhere because there are several jurisdictions which are very ineffective at cooperating with each other. That’s a good reason for EOS to implement one jurisdiction, where all the users and businesses are, instead of making them use the old and inefficient model that runs the internet now.’
Opt-in
The final hour the channel is in a discussion about ECAF and if or not it can be ‘opt-in’. At some point user Jetse Sprey (EOS - Amsterdam) says: ‘If it's opt-in that would give way to all crooks that seek to avoid justice. They just wouldn't opt in. And hide themselves. How would that improve trust with blockchain? And what would you say to the victims? Dan Larimer came with a promise of a governed blockchain where justice could be done, but he changed his mind?’
