Now, before you go and throw me into the lion's den, hear me out.
I have been a Steemian since December of 2017 and have no plans of leaving the platform by any means. On the same token (pun intended), I like to remain open-minded when it comes to other prominent blockchain projects in the space.
This topic is on my mind mainly in lieu of the long-awaited announcement that is taking place this evening in Washington DC. There is a lot of speculation going around regarding what Block.one is going to talk about, but I do know that it is going to be pretty substantial and the EOS community is very excited about it.
The question of is EOS going to become a Steemit killer remains to be seen. But, in my opinion, I do not believe Steem is going to die. In fact, I believe that Steem will grow stronger as a result of the breaking news that Block.one announces.
In my opinion, I do not think it is healthy to ONLY keep our eyes peeled on a single blockchain. Focus is an amazing tool, but let's not shut our mind's off to the possibility of other chains developing some really cool projects that can help shift the internet and our world as we know it.
I personally just opened my very first EOS account yesterday. It was quite a headache to say the least but I now have one. I also am glad that the token is now available on Coinbase for easy trading.
One thing that I'd like to change regarding EOS is tutorials and how-to's regarding how to get started because I was pretty confused and I've been around this space for some time now.
If you are interested in tuning into the broadcast, visit https://block.one/june1/ around 7:00pm EST tonight. I will be on there because I am curious what the announcement is and what it will mean for the blockchain and crypto space at large. Rumor has it that it could be a new social media dApp but we shall see.
The unveiling could very well effect the market price of EOS, creating some pretty wild volatility. Right now EOS is sitting at about $8.00, but I think it will shoot upwards over the next number of days.
I believe that every blockchain project has it's place in the ecosystem and we should all be supporting each other's success. We are the pioneers of this incredible industry and I for one feel extremely fortunate to be part of it. Long live Steem and decentralized applications in general :)
If you found this post interesting or valuable, please feel free to upvote and resteem.
EOS prices is shoot from last few days due to this hype was created by them i think so in terms of dollars wise. But i hope STEEM developer will soon launch some good thing on STEEM platform to compete EOS.

I don't think Dan will try and compete Steemit. It must be something different. Like say twitter or instagram.

I am really curious about this myself, and if the rumors are true, it might become more of an Instagram or Twitter, meaning that it has a different profile than Steem. But, the fact that people have more power over their content and also the chance to earn money by sharing and being active is a great thing, be it Steemit, Voice, or whatever the name might be!
Let's see what happens with Voice! I'm wondering when they launch the beta. I'm anxious to see what it's like.
A lot of hype on this announcement. I'm anxious to see what it might be.
1 hour to go.
