How it Work You can Check Here
The whole world is excitedly waiting for its Mainnet to go live but its date can't be predicted with 100% certainty as no one knows when will it happen. But quite reasonably, it can be said that it's gonna happen soon.
Perhaps you're aware of the 4 phases that need to be successfully completed for EOS Mainnet to go live:
Currently, we are waiting for the Joint statement from BP community. After that token holders can import their private keys and participate in voting to elect 21 BP.
EOS Block Producers Candidates meet every day on a group video call and vote on whether or not the Mainnet will be ready to launch the following day. The vote is cast as GO or NOT GO.
Once the GO vote is caste, it should be live 12 hours later. Voting phase won't take too much time as in my opinion, getting minimum 15% tokens to vote should be a mere formality as there are several whales holding a large volume of tokens.
The tentative launch is now pushed to 13:00 UTC Friday, the vote for GO or NO GO will be at 01:00 UTC Friday

Eos team does not commit to any kind of timeline for EOS to go live.,,, it might happen soon as the software appears to be progressing towards it without any major issue.,,so no fixed date yet..

Best guess is this coming SUnday at the latest from what i have heard. Though that is only for the chain to be up. No block will be produced until 15% of tokens are in wallets with voting power and the first election happens. So my best guess is the middle of next week.One of the BP's put up a bar that shows what step they are on I think it was EOSnation. Hope this helps
Maybe a day or up to 15 days. No one knows right now. It will happen soon though. They said up to 3 weeks months ago.
the guy in the video discusses in detail what the "validation" stage actually entails and the work that goes with the blockchain code.

EOS isn't going to be its own blockchain. They provide tools to allow for others to create blockchains and be a platform for it. This definitely creates a big hole for how the ERC20 tokens will be used.

What is a bounty exactly?
A bounty is money sent to a post to be distributed to the users commenting on it. It provides a way to reward users directly and works in addition to the steem/sbd they receive from the blockchain. It works independently of SteemPower.
You create a bounty by sending any amount of sbd/steem to @steem-bounty together with a post-url in the memo.
How can I earn a bounty Users are then competing for the bounty by writing their answers to the post in comments that will achieve upvotes from the community and especially the bounty creator. The money of the bounty gets distributed to all top level comments of the post at the same time when the post is paid out (7 Days after it was written). How much everyone gets depends on the votes the comments received. The sender of the bounties votes are weighted higher so that she decideds where 80% of the bounty money goes and all other votes determine the rest.@steem-bounty does all of this for you automatically. You can use this service to automatically pay out a challenge, ask a hard question or simply to reward the people that interact with you.

The two potential chains are in a group video-chat right now. Some want to wait and continue testing for 48 more hours. Others want to launch tonight. That is what it sounds like to me from reading on Telegram.
The video meeting started 40 minutes ago so hopefully there will be an announcement in the next hour or so.
I don’t think it will be too long - they don’t want to rush the process and get it wrong. It might be today, or they might need to re-check everything and it will be at least another few days. I wouldn’t reccomend rushing to check out your tokens though. They are safe as long as you are patient and wait for the main net to be properly launched.
We must be attentive to https://block.one/, I am also very anxious. Although I wonder, will this release affect the rise of the steem currency?

there's no Earthly way of knowing.......perhaps when the programmers have consumed enough red bull and coffee
I honestly think they will delay it a bit. That is what usually happens, altough it wouldn't be justified seeing as they had such a succesfull ICO.
