A lot of exchanges and Exodus says they're compatible, but word or conformation from EOSio would be appreciated.
They are trustworthy but in general the best advice to follow is to have a little bit patience and wait confirmation about the most secure tools/wallets to use the next days ... You can still vote after a week and participate.... The current BPs will just start the chain... The community will decide which will stay and which more will be added...
BP candidates who do not participate in these conversations and - worse - don't vote should be discounted as legitimate candidates. However, could it be that some BP candidates did actually vote but haven't had that vote included in the list? For example, EOS Vibes have said "We voted GO. That leaked list missed us off somehow.".
The EOS launch still faces a large number of potential issues including bugs, vulnerabilities and other problems. With the launch now imminent, hopefully the block producers can address and resolve these in time.

how can there be a price a exchange discovery if EOS (ERC20) are locked, and Mainnet isnt launched?
That's temporary. The next days anybody will be "allowed" to move funds (from the original EOS blockchain)

Believe me ETH in the current state is more vulnerable than EOS
