For Edens sake, Eden Needs To Value EOS Focussed Contributions

in #eos2 years ago (edited)

Life in my experience, tends to reward those that provide value first. Recognition and power usually come after, not before.

I’d like to think of Eden as the governance layer for the EOS blockchain, based on the principles from the book More Equal Animals. The further specifics of what “governance layer for the EOS blockchain” exactly means, need to be defined further. But I think for Eden to be recognized and given power by the EOS community as a whole, the individual EOS holders, EOS developers, the ENF etc. Eden needs to be providing massive value to those holers, developers, the ENF etc.

Currently much of Eden seems to be focused internally on Eden, on itself, rather than EOS.
I understand the Eden process is itself undergoing an existential matter. It is finding out exactly what it is, and exactly the best process to achieve that end. I do think focus on itself is needed in order to focus less directly on itself, but I think one of the most powerful things Eden should have as a goal is giving as much value as possible back to the EOS ecosystem.

I’d like to see Eden consensus weighing heavily broader EOS contributions. If we want to be recognized by EOS, we need to be giving to EOS.
I think this shift is needed selfishly for Eden itself.

TLDR: In order for Eden to have meaningful power over the EOS ecosystem, Eden needs to be given power by that system. In order to be given power by the EOS ecosystem, it needs to be providing massive value to that ecosystem. The ecosystem needs to recognise it will lose good without giving Eden power.
