The guiding principle of ONO is that there is nothing more important than the interests of the community. So there you can already see a big difference between ONO and Steemit.
Talking about the eco-system, in both networks value is created through social interaction. So there might be a similarity.
Yet ONO will focus much more on quailty, providing incentives for those who foster high quality - including both creators and curators.
Also in the ONO network reputation will not be set in stone like on steemit.com. If you don't contribute to the network, your reputation is going to decrease. That'll encourage people to constantly participate and provide value.
The ONO concept will be much more advanced.
