Today is another exhilarating moment for the Merseyside fans. It is another Merseyside Derby. The longest running football derby in England, featuring Merseyside neighbours, Liverpool and Everton. Both teams have been having this rivalry since the 1962/1963 season.

The last Merseyside Derby was on January 5 2020. The match ended with Liverpool defeating Everton 1-0. Of all 235 encounters, Everton won 66, Liverpool 95, and 74 draws have been recorded thus far. The largest victory in the Merseyside derby was secured by Liverpool in 1935, when the Reds trashed Everton 6-0.
At the moment, Liverpool are at the very top of the EPL table with 82 points from 29 matches. Everton on the other hand have not been doing too well; presently occupying the 13h spot on the table, after losing more then half of their league matches season. They have a total of 37 points at the moment.
