I've decided to dedicate my free time to help Espers project. I'm on their discord channel and I've seen so many people asking the same questions. So I decide to create a FAQ page for Espers. This page will be regularly updated.
What is Espers and what is the technology behind it? Should I invest?

How do I sync my wallet?
You don't need to do anything to sync your wallet. Just open your wallet, and wait until you get connected to Espers network, marked by "signal" sign at the bottom left of your wallet. It will sync automatically once you connect to Espers network.
My wallet is sync now, but there are XX Weeks behind. How do I speed this up?
You can speed up the sync process by downloading the bootstrap files. This is step by step on how to do it:
Note: Before you do this, please backup your wallet.dat located in C:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USER\AppData\Roaming\ESP folder just in case.
- Close your wallet
- Download bootstrap files here (480 Mb).
- Once you finished downloading it, you will now have a file with the name espers_windows_bootstrap.rar
- Extract it somewhere, you will have a folder called ESP.
- Copy that ESP folder.
- Go to C:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USER\AppData\Roaming
- Paste it on that directory, let it overwrite existing ESP folder.
- Re-open your wallet. It should be faster to sync now.
I'm only getting 1 connection to Espers network, sometimes zero, what can I do to add more connection?
You can add additional nodes information to Espers.conf files, this is how you do it:
- Go to http://stats.espers.io/download/addnodes.txt
- Copy everything on there
- Go to C:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USER\AppData\Roaming\ESP and locate Espers.conf file
- Open it with notepad
- Go to the bottom, and paste node information you get from http://stats.espers.io/download/addnodes.txt
- Save it.
- Re-launch your Espers client
I've added additional node information, but I still get only 1-2 connection
A couple of things can cause this:
- You internet connection is slow, so connecting to Espers network is also slow
- Your firewall might block outside connection
- You may use VPN that for some reason block incoming connection from Espers network

How can I stake Espers?
Since Espers is hybrid between PoW and PoS, you can stake it. Staking Espers is easy, just unlock your wallet and let it open and connected to Espers network. You can see if your coin is staking by clicking "Generate Esp" menu from your wallet.

Hello, i tried to stakin. But the program have writen 1937 days to next stake? Lol? Why
you must have a low balance. How much you got in the wallet?
Been staking 2 million Espers for 20 days and only received one reward of 1695.
Don't think much of this coin.
