Talking about motorcycle engine parts:
- cylinder head
- cylinder block
- Engine crank
The three main parts of this motorcycle engine are the main items in motorcycle engines.
***1. Cylinder Head ***
The cylinder head has the main function as a cylinder hole cover on the cylinder block and as a place for the engine spark plug. The cylinder head on top of the cylinder block is installed or glued by a gasket which is useful to prevent engine compression leakage.
The cylinder head is made of mixed aluminum material which aims to withstand high engine temperatures and the cylinder head can be lighter. In the cylinder head there are usually fins that function to help release heat on the engine or more familiarly known as air conditioning.
2. Cylinder block
cylinder block which has the main function is as the piston moves. and this cylindrical block consists of two components which are combined into one that is a liner cylinder and a cylinder block which are both attached to one another.
This liner cylinder and cylinder block are made separately. This is in anticipation when excessive liner cylinder is caused by friction with the piston, the liner cylinder can be replaced. Whereas for the engine cylinder block itself is made with certain conditions, which are resistant to heat or high temperature conditions, resistant to friction and can deliver heat well. In the part of the liner cylinder that gets direct friction with the piston the engine is equipped with a lubricant that aims to prevent wear on the liner cylinder.
. But the fact is that even though the lubricant is still supplied, the wear on the liner cylinder is unavoidable. Another effort that can be done is to routinely check the liner cylinder by utilizing the help of an indicator dial. On the wall of the motorcycle cylinder there are also fins that function as engine coolant through the air entering the engine through the flaws of the fin.
3. Engine Crankcase.
The engine crankcase or crankcase is a component that has a special function of the house from several engine components that are in it, namely the engine clutch, generator or alternator, oil pump, transmission gear, oil container and also the crankshaft. The crankcase of the engine itself is made of aluminum die canting with a little metal mixture and the location of the crank body is at the bottom of the engine cylinder.
