What's new in 2.2.3
We won't list all changes here, because this update although minor one, had around ~3000 commits.
We will mention major ones and urge community to explore and do posts about features they find interesting and like.

In November, we have released migration update that would migrate data within device into new local database scheme. It was designed so that we could use different db engine which supports Hermes engine. What we learned is that Hermes engine improves performance of application greatly so we wanted to utilize new technology. This is just a note: If you encounter any issues updating from 2.2.2 to 2.2.3, our suggestion is to wipe app data and start fresh (make sure you have backup of your password and keys).
We are always amazed by our users because they are real and passionate, all around us - supporting us, the game changers - inspiring us to do the same everyday, work on better future and build that future together with better products. It is more than a movement now, it is our mission to build the future!

I'm downloading it now. Good to see fresh developments, especially as this the only viable Steem mobile app that is still being worked on. We need something that is usable by everyone. I know a lot of people only use their mobile devices these days. I use the desktop eSteem too on Linux.

I downloaded, but now the app will not open, just hangs on the opening screen. How do i clear app data (as you advise to do above)?

Relying on 3rd party app stores has this side effects 😊 We did push APK to github though, it is working fine. But PlayStore suppose to bundle optimized builds for your device, that's why it is recommended to use playstore version otherwise direct apk would work too

I've been going through the new layout to see where everything is located while checking out the new features on @esteemapp for android users.
It will only take me a day or two to get accustomed & automatically know where to go for everything with the logical format.
I will create a post tonight to see how that goes and check if the cursor position scrolling to the top was fixed (that was my #1 pet peeve).

Are you sure you are using 2.2.3 version? Can you share screenshot or record of the issue? We noticed this happens on some devices during first launch, after that it starts to work flawlessly. Is it happening everytime or only on first launch after you installed the update?
interesting, have you tried to clearing app data or reinstalling fresh?
S8+ with what version of Android? So we can test and push update if necessary
