eSteem Surfer 2 - Tutorial - How to Open Links In-App

Greetings Steemian's,

I've decided to make a quick tutorial for an eSteem app feature that I find very useful. I'm not sure if this feature is obvious to everyone who uses eSteem app, but it's very convenient for those who utilize multiple frontends, and desire to acquire some eSteem points through usage of the application.




I was chatting with @melinda010100 a few days ago about the eSteem points system, and I had to confess that I had yet to acquire any. As a curator for eSteem, and someone who loves the community, I felt it to be appropriate to do my best and start utilizing this awesome app as much as I can. It's only appropriate, as I see great things in the future for eSteem, and if by utilizing it, I can help others with understanding it's features, then it's a win for all of us.

I use browser frontends for curating, and I have a system down that is efficient for me. I won't be changing that system, but while curating, sometimes I like to add a comment. So I thought:

"How can I curate through the browser, while quickly commenting on a post through the eSteemapp that I have opened in the background? Surely there must be a way to paste a post from the browser to the app, while maintaining time efficiency."

Turns out there is! Sweet!

In this tutorial we will be utilizing the latest build.

So you've just downloaded the newest eSteem Surfer 2 and can barely contain yourself right? I know the feeling, the latest build is great. In my opinion, it far surpasses the past builds, and I'm not surprised at all. I have full confidence in the development team.

So, if you have reasons to use browser frontends primarily, but still want to contribute by using this app and sharing your experience with others, I'm going to show you how you can paste a link into eSteem Surfer 2, post a comment, and upvote with the eSteem app. This will start earning you eSteem points, immediately.

Step 1

  • Like the example above, highlight the link starting at the Steem user name.

Step 2

  • Replace the selected area of the link feature in eSteem Surfer 2.

    Once you've pasted the link, simply click enter (ctrl c and ctrl v are your friends)

Step 3

  • Now the post should be loaded, and you're ready to vote and comment.

Hover over the vote button to choose your %

I've never seen such a feature rich comment editor. eSteem Surfer 2 is packed with a full editor, and even has an emoji selector! Check it out! 👇

Simply click reply and you're done. You've successfully opened a post in eSteem Surfer 2, from your browser, and this should not take more than maybe 10-20 seconds, depending how quickly your hardware, internet, and fingers work.

Click the highlighted area to access and claim your eSteem points!

Now you're earning eSteem points on the easy to use eSteem Surfer 2!
