## Age about 9,000 years old, the oldest man in Sumatra ??? Hi steemians, how is your day today, hopefully stay primed in the activity. Steemians, my post today is still about the tourist destinations in the Gayo highlands. The destination of this time is more to the Education Tour is the history of civilization 9,000 years ago in a hole or cave that by the local community (Gayo) called Loyang. Mendale is the name of the site, located in Mendale village, Kebayakan Sub-District, Central Aceh District. This site is located on the edge of Lake Lut Tawar which has been studied intensively since 2012 by Archeology of North Sumatra. The data and facts found in Loyang Mendale are 4 human skeletons. Previously on the Ujung Karang site 300 meters away from Loyang Mendale have found 8 human skeletons, there are 12 ancient human skeletons of Mesolithic and Neolithic period. In addition to human skeletons also found earthenware shards, mesolithic and neolithic stone tools, animal and human bone tools, horn tools, glass beads, animal teeth and seashell shells of shallow marine habitats. Loyang Mendale is still far from a good word for an archaeological site, still needed extra restoration to care for the fossils so that the Local Government of Central Aceh can maximize the function of the site as a destination archeology education tourism. Based on the data and facts it is not excessive if we say the first humans of the island of Sumatra and could be refuted if there are authentic data and facts in other places older than the fossils. ## Usianya Sekitar 9.000 Tahun, Manusia Tertua di Sumatera??? Hai steemians, bagaimana hari mu hari ini, semoga tetap prima dalam beraktifitas. Steemians, postingan saya hari ini masih tentang distinasi wisata di dataran tinggi Gayo. Distinasi wisata kali ini lebih kepada Wisata Edukasi yaitu sejarah tentang peradaban 9.000 tahun silam dalam suatu lubang atau gua yang oleh masyarakat lokal (Gayo) disebut Loyang. Mendale adalah nama situs tersebut, berada di Kampung Mendale Kecamatan Kebayakan Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. Situs ini berada di tepian danau Lut Tawar yang telah diteliti intensif semenjak tahun 2012 oleh Arkeologi Sumatera Utara. Data dan fakta yang ada di temukan dalam Loyang Mendale ada 4 kerangka manusia. Sebelumnya di situs Ujung Karang yang berjarak 300 meter dari Loyang Mendale telah ditemukan 8 kerangka manusia, maka ada 12 kerangka manusia purba dari masa Mesolitik dan Neolitik. Selain kerangka manusia juga ditemukan pecahan gerabah/tembikar, alat2 batu masa mesolitik dan neolitik, alat tulang hewan dan manusia, alat dari bahan tanduk, manik dari bahan kaca, gigi binatang maupun cangkang kerang laut dari jenis habitat laut dangkal. Loyang Mendale masih jauh dari kata baik untuk sebuah situs arkeologi, masih diperlukan pemugaran ekstra untuk merawat fosil tersebut sehingga Pemerintah Daerah Aceh Tengah bisa memaksimalkan fungsi situs sebagai tempat distinasi wisata edukasi Arkeologi. Berdasarkan data dan fakta-fakta maka tidak berlebihan bila kita katakan manusia pertama penghuni pulau Sumatera dan bisa terbantahkan bila ada data dan fakta otentik di tempat lain yang berumur lebih tua dari fosil-fosil tersebut.
