Hello dear Steemians,
I have made this action photos in our garden ( Münster ), and of course none of the bumblebees was seriously injured :-)
As you know summer is the time of blooming flowers, some of them you plant and take care but even though they may not grow and just dry up. The others that we call field flowers just there and not require any special treat from human but also have their important role for Bees and Bumblebees.
The flower that you see on my pictures called Blue globe-thistle in traditional language but in batanic language is known as Echinops bannaticus. This gorgeous blue balls belong to sunflower family, have you ever thought about that? That flower is highly attractive by Bees and Bumblebees.
While on holiday we have had those flowers next to our canopy swing, so we coud see teh busy life of beautiful butterfly and that rumble of Bumblebees, that I could not stand and made series of pictures, to share with you :)
