THE PATH OF SELF-CONFIDENCE

Self- confidence is a factor that appears to be absent in the lives of many people. A lot of people look down on themselves and fail to pursue their dreams for fear of failure, because they lack self-confidence.

Lack of self-confidence can be destructive. We often fail to realise that self-confidence is very important in every aspect of our lives. By lacking self-confidence, we tend to indirectly accept the fact that we cannot become successful. Self-confidence is about balance. At one extreme, we have people with low self-confidence. At the other extreme, we have people who are overconfidence.
Someone who is under confident will avoid taking risks or stretching himself, while someone who is overconfident may take too mush risk, stretch himself beyond limits and crash badly.
Being able to maintain a balance is about having the right amount of confidence, founded on reality and true ability. With the right amount of self-confidence, you can then take informed risks and stretch yourself within your ability.
People who have a high amount of self-confidence in tend to inspire confidence in their audience, peers, bosses, customers and friends. Gaining the confidence of other is one of the key ways in which a self-confident person can succeed. SELF-CONFIDENCE STANDS AS THE SINGLE INGREDIENT THAT DISTINGUISHES A SUCCESSFUL PERSON FROM AN UNSUCCESSFUL ONE. Your level of confidence shows in your behaviors, your comportment, what you say and so on. This is recognised by people and it says a lot about you.
For those who lack self-confidence, the good news is that self-confidence can be learn and built on. TRUE SELF-CONFIDENCE IS NOT AN OVERNIGHT ACQUISITION; IT TAKES DEDICATION TO REALISE THAT YOU ARE WORTHY OF RESPECT AND LOVE.

Some steps are necessary in order to help build your self-confidence and accelerate success.
They are as follows:
PREPARE YOUR MIND TO BE SELF-CONFIDENT. You need to get yourself ready for the journey to self-confidence. You need to know where you are, where you want to go. Get yourself set for the journey and commit yourself to starting staying with it. Look at what you've already achieved, think about your strengths, start managing your mind and then commit yourself to success.

  • STEPPING OUT: This is where you take one step at a time, being slow and steady while moving towards your goal. Looking at your goals, you need to identify the skills you'll need to achieve them. Endeavour to start by doing simple things successfully, set small goals and try to achieve them.

GROOM YOURSELF.

  • DRESS NICELY: Dress in a pleasant way that can help boost your self esteem and self confidence.

  • THINK POSITIVELY: Avoid having thoughts that can bring you down. Negative thoughts like "I CANNOT DO IT" should be avoided. Try as mush as possible to kill negative thoughts.
  • BE KIND AND GENEROUS: Get to know yourself and others. Listen to others when they talk and be willing to help them. Feel good and be happy doing something positive and rewarding.
  • SET YOUR GOALS AND ACHIEVE THEM: Set goals that exploit your strengths, minimize your weaknesses, realise your opportunities and control the threats you face. After setting the major goals in your life, identify the first step in each.
  • FOCUS ON SOLUTIONS RATHER THAN PROBLEMS: Try not to place a load on yourself about problems, instead, profer solutions to them.
  • STICK TO YOUR PRINCIPLES: This might be tough. If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.

EXPRESS YOURSELF THROUGH ART, MUSIC OR WRITING: Find something you enjoy. Develop your talent and excel in it.

  • BE POSITIVE: Avoid self petty or the petty and sympathy of others. Never allow other to make you inferior. Don't belittle yourself in front of others because they will see you as such. Learn to speak positively about yourself, your future and progress.
  • LEAEN TO HANDLES FAILURE: Accept that mistakes happen when you are trying something new. If you get into the habit of treating mistakes as learning experiences, you can start to see them in a positive light.
  • ACCELERATING TOWARD SUCCESS: At this stage you feel yourself building.
    By following some or all of the steps listed above, you'll realise that you will have plenty of success to celebrate and an increased level of self-confidence.
