Before creating the famous Dragon Ball manga, Akira Toriyama had in mind a project to create a new manga in which a little boy would be accompanied by a girl, so he created a parodic manga at The Westward Wandering, while repeating the famous characters of this novel as well as the story that will complete the first part of the manga.
