Lately a lot of news that says that green kenanga flowers can cure breast cancer. The information can not be ascertained whether it is true or not.
The green ylang (Cananga odorata) flowers are the kind of flowers that grow in Southeast Asia, such as Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines. This plant has long been used as an ingredient for aromatherapy and is believed to reduce anxiety, stress, depression, and high blood pressure.
Not only as aromatherapy, green kenanga flowers can also be processed into massage oil.
According to research from the journal Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine in 2015, the efficacy of green kenanga flowers that have been scientifically proven are antimicrobial effects, antioxidants, insecticidal (antiserangga), antimelanogenesis, soothing and relaxing effects and antidiabetik.
The active ingredients that provide these effects include monoterpene, sesquiterpene and phenylpropanoid. These materials are taken from the extraction of green kenanga flowers. In addition, this plant is also widely used as an ingredient for insect repellent cream.
