This accident happened near the Amirabad Bus Stand on Tuesday. Jubo Dal and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal activists were injured in the accident.
The deceased student leader's name was Raihan Chief Jewel (22). He is the son of the deceased Chadek chief of Donaar Char village of Upazila Sadar.
The injured were identified as Islam Chhatra Dal President Imran, 25, Imdadul, 20, Rafat, 26, Shabbir, 23, Ashik, 20, Hridoy, 23, Nahid, 19, And Juba Dal leader Majharul (35), Delwar (35) and Al-Amin (31).
Dawudkandi Highway police and party sources said that on Tuesday, on the occasion of the arrival of Majid chairman of the Krishak Dal, the son of his son reached Amirabad from the upazila. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain Corridor.
After reaching there, a bus from Shyamoli Paribahan, which came from eastern side, pressed two motorbikes of the motorbike while entering the Kachua Road with some microbus and private car in the Amirabad station.
In this, the passenger of a Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leader Jewel suffered serious injuries in the microbus carrying the Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal leader.
When he was taken to Daudkandi Upazila Health Complex, the duty doctor declared Jewel dead.
On receiving the news, police reached the spot and rescued 20 activists of Juba Dal and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal in the accident and sent them to Gauripur Hospital.
Among the injured, Imdadul Haque (20) and heart (24) were admitted to the hospital. Eight people seriously injured were sent to Dhaka for better treatment. The assailant and the driver were arrested.
Daskandi highway police OC Abul Kalam told that the injured were rushed to the hospital after getting the news of the accident. BNP standing committee member said. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and his car are intact.
In this regard, Upazila Health Officer Dr Jalal Hossain said, BNP Standing Committee member Dr. Khandker Mosharraf Hossain's vehicle car accidents have been given quick treatment for the passengers of the fallen passengers.
Eight people seriously injured have been sent to Dhaka for better treatment.
