I know. I mean the platform though. Ever since I first heard about it at Steemfest, applications have been closed though. Which seems odd and feels “exclusive” rather than “open and accessible”. You know what I mean?

Hi @ConnectEconomy, as I see is the only real way to take care of having an exclusive and real group of people full of energy to make this project goes to the place it shoulds. Is a very specific chance for the Blockchain and of course every step must be done with care.
Obviously making this open wide to everybody will be a fail at the end, especially in those times in which everybody is trying to do whatever they can to get a reward.
The same happened time ago with another kind of hashtags and this strategy is the best to take care of @Oracle-D IMHO.
By the way please note that this kind of open tasks are a filter to see the potential that content creators have
Join the general and become a part! don't give up and realize that the doors are open if you know what I mean ;)

Thanks for your concerns, @connecteconomy, there are two reasons why we have a closed group as of now:
To target larger segment of STEEM we generally have open(available to all) tasks such as this one. As @leotrap suggested, please participate in these and we might pick you up for a job that requires your skills.
We are also preparing a v2 of the platform to support more users! SO hopefully in near future we might approve more applications.
