My quick overview of the Bitjobs ICO, a decentralized peer-to-peer marketplace for online short-terms jobs for students, freelancers, and employers.
The idea came from university students that once graduated struggled to find an appropriate job in their studied profession, and they are now uniting students with employers through blockchain technology for short term jobs to work while studying to solve this issue.
The Bitjob team has understood that students have problems with income while they are at school, but they also need experience when they graduate to be prepared for the careers ahead of them. The Bitjob solution allows students to convert their work time into income through blockchain technology while increasing their online work portfolio.
The bitjob system is designed to attract students to the blockchain ecosystem. In this semi-decentralized marketplace Workers can be paid over with either bitjob STU tokens, other Cryptocurrencies, or paypal for online work.
The Student Tokens (STU) which operate the platform will be available through the Bitjob ICO offering opening on September 12, 2017. They have a presale beginning August 2nd as well.
Bitjobs has gained some credibilty by partnering with governmental bodies and educational faculties like the Government of Netherlands, Blockchain Education Network, University of Florida Bitcoin club, Cyprus international institute of management, blockchain association of Canada and the Israeli students association.
I think this is a solid project because university students are a perfect real world example of people who can utilizing decentralize platforms and find some level of understanding on blockchain ecosystems. If anyone can get it, its students. Bitjob is also doing their part to educate platform users on blockchain systems as they go along.
I worked all throughout university degree and I would have loved to have been paid in cryptocurrency through bitjobs while doing it.
