It looks like the whitehats managed to remove the 7 million ETC from DAO.

I thought this The DAO bullshit was already over with - Ethereum needs this to be in the rear-view asap.
This proves that the rollback was totally unneeded. Even more, now the original chain (now called ETC) has full legitimacy as the real Ethereum.
Popcorn.
Indeed. On reddit people were saying the same thing. But ok, knowing this afterwards is always easy. If they wouldn't have succeeded than things wouldn't have worked out this way, right.
ETC to the moon!
I hope so :-)
Hehe beautiful. He got what he deserved.
One of the reason why I do not want to own this coin.
Time for the fun to begin @diego24 !
Indeed ;-)
good
OMG! This DAO thing is still kicking? It is getting so difficult to keep up with this Ethereum drama! Now, what's going to be the impact of this? ETC up or ETH up?
The hacker can't sell off his ETC. I don't know yet whether ETC will go to the moon but I definitely don't expect it to crash now.
Why cant he sell off?
Honestly, I shouldn't be giving you advice because I am not that knowledgeable about the topic. But from what I understood from reddit is that they managed to get the funds of the hacker to an address outside of DAO and he therefore lost control over the stolen funds.
Yeah, there's still the concern that this happened in the first place.
