RE: Why Will Ethereum Fail?

in #ethereum7 years ago

When ETH was at $6 in Dec. nobody listened when I was saying to buy it. Yes, its probably going to $1000+ at some point but ETH is due for correction. Just a month ago it was at $50 and up 39x from Dec. bottom. Investors are way to bullish on Ether now. I made a small fortune in ETH and strongly believe in it longterm but $6 to $240 in 6 months is too much too fast. If any DAPP fails the price will tumble sub $80. Either way expect a correction to at least $150.

I am sorry, I am not talking about ETH price, it could go to $10000 before it fails. My point is that if it's working now does not mean it will continue to work.

That's like saying Bitcoin will fail, unlikely but OK there's a chance. What's more likely is that we are in a bubble and ETH price corrects back to $100 or so. Bitcoin is now very interesting to me since its not so hyped at the moment and we have Segwit2x that may activate later this summer.

Corrections happen, and long term holders wont care when it does happen. It will come back up months later to new ATHs, and if not months, then in the next year. People concerned about corrections are day traders thinking to buy and sell for short term (short time window) profit. Bitcoin in 2013 went to $1000 from around $30 and corrected in 2014 and 2015. Now it's over $2000 and headed to $3000.
