What would it take to increase adoption of these Decentralised platforms?
How could we get the lazy adopter onboard?

That damn Facebook and Twitter, love to make fools out of anyone who's trying to make money on their platforms. Even if they do make some dough, you can bet your bottom dollar that they'll be getting over larger than them in the cash department.
I think those platforms pimped out a lot of users (including me) because I did join the birdy fashioned platform site, only to get twitted at (that's code for laughed at BTW), thinking that you have a 100% chance to becoming wealthy, prosperous, and probably gain enough capital to start a business. Those who jumped on early, are the ones who benefitted the MOST.
So for the "late-bloomers," there's a chance to pick up the pieces and finish the puzzle here on Steemit!
"Because opportunities such as this, come only once in a lifetime!
WOOOORD on this good answer man haha!
I can already see the future of Steemit as the new Facebook, Zappl as the new Twitter amd Dtube to take over Youtube. The possibilities are endless in this decentralized blockchain.
I am well aware of social media platforms making money out of their applications and websites. From ads to personal info down to our own ingenious ideas, they are making profit out of it while they sit back and watch the show go on as money enters into their pockets.
And we are left blinded with nowhere else to go because of the monopoly they exert on the market. I mean, where else will I post my smartphone photography than in Instagram. But now we have Steepshot! And i couldn't be happier
These newer decentralized platforms powered by Steem communicate to a broader audience worldwide and does not rely solely on you followers or friends.
And the best part about this: Profit is returned to the hands of the people. The whole idea is revolutionary. Kind of like how balance is restored after years of tyranny and gold is finally looted out of the palace and into the citizenry. Finally, layman have the power to make their dreams come true through his own means in social media.
Every post we make is our Intellectual Property. No person gains the right to capitalize on our thoughts and ideas.
And I will continue to fight for that right by promoting Steemit to my friends and family.
What an excellent question!! The obvious answer is to reward with crypto. Like ReddCoin. What do you think?
I think it's one hell of a great question! :D
