As a decentralized platform, Ethereum is fantastic. It can execute smart contracts, create tokens, act as a ledger, and more. One of the big problems it has though, is that developers have to go out of their way to find the right libraries to embed it into their app. For those who don’t know, a library is a tool that developers use to help them create apps. First they have to write the app in the programming language(s) they want to use, using the libraries they find the easiest to use, then on top of this, they have to figure out how to use those libraries in a way that their app will allow.

Giving developers a platform where they can create nearly any app they want, while having the ability to create smart contracts, create tokens, and transfer funds is absolutely invaluable. The more tools a developer has at their disposal, the quicker they can write their apps, and the less they have to figure out. The easier and familiar the tools they use are, the better.

As you can see, there are significantly more steps that goes into creating a GUI app that connects to a smart contract when using Ethereum as compared to when XRJV2 releases. Ultimately, blockchains and smart contracts are to be used by financial institutions, so they will need a GUI app to interact with their smart contract at some point in time. Why use a platform that will require the developer to go through so much more hassle to implement their system?
