If you are using Claymore miner with Windows 10 and Nvidia 1060 3GB GPUs you likely noticed they will no longer mine again once they have been restarted. This is due to an issue with one of the Windows 10 updates, Windows 7, 8, and Linux work fine.

There is no released fix but there is a current workaround that isn't documented well.

The Nvidia 1060 3GB doesn't have much life yet as a miner for Ethereum but for now, you can add -eres 1 as a command line option to allow it to reserve more GPU memory.

This has been tested and confirmed working for my Nvidia 1060 3GB on Windows 10.

A windows issue... Shocking. Literally everything about windows 10(not so much the others) have been nothing but trouble. Not just for miners, but for gamers as well.

thanks for sharing

Well up to this point, i still think mining of crypto is impossible. I mean i have heard stories of hardware and mining gears. Maybe i should start believing them henceforth

I was searching for some information about crypto miners because I want to start mining something.

Thanks that you mentioned this miner in your post. I will definitely find something else because I don't want to have any troubles at the beginning.

Please inform us if you have some more information about miners and cryptocurrencies. Keep doing :)

Once again, Linux is my friend. I parted company with Microsoft prior to Win7.

Glad you found a workaround for your problem.
