Howdy! Looks like you’re about to start your first venture in the Dungeons. That’s exciting! Before you send your wombat in for the first time, here are some tips and tricks that will make your dungeon runs even more efficient and enjoyable.
What is the game’s goal?
As with any other game, Dungeon Master is here to have fun! But there is a competitive element to it of course.
Every season, which typically lasts for six weeks, players compete for a shared prize of 15M $WOMBAT tokens. Every day, you also get a rewards chest that may or may not contain a special NFT prize for all your dungeon runs.
But Dungeon Master is designed in such a way that you can set, and work towards, your own goals. Do you want to figure out perfect wombat gear combinations? Or collect all the possible sidekicks? Or maybe you dream of assembling the best clan in the game? Either way, there’s something for everyone to find in the dungeons.
How does it all work?
The core gameplay is pretty straightforward. You, as a dungeon master, hide NFTs — a.k.a. ‘loot’ — for a cute wombat adventurer to retrieve it. The more ‘valuable’, high-mining power NFTs you hide, the more points your wombat is going to score from daily point pools.
The points you accumulate will determine your share of the prize pool at the end of any given season. On every day you accumulate over 45 thousand points, you will also get a bonus in $WOMBAT tokens on top of the regular payout.
On a purely technical level, what happens is that you stake the NFTs to a smart contract on WAX, EOS or Polygon where they safely rest, providing you with mining power. This mining power, measured against everybody else’s, directly determines your final prize. There are a handful of ways to increase it — we will cover those closely in a separate post.
These contribution points, as we call them, have a fixed rate. A hundred thousand points equal 1 USD worth of $WOMBAT tokens. These rewards are always paid out at the end of a season.
How to find the best NFTs to stake?
The best NFTs are always the ones you like. If you want to support a creator whose NFTs are stakeable in Dungeon Master, there is no better way than using them in our game.
Still, we know that for more performance-oriented players it’s important to get ahead of the others. That’s why we do recommend checking out some of the browsing tools created by our team.

Keep in mind that the stakeable NFTs alone are unlikely to yield maximum results. So do make sure to check out available sidekicks and gear for your wombat in our drops and on the secondary market.
While it’s not necessarily the best stuff around, you can also get some stakeable NFTs completely for free by completing game quests in Wombat’s Playground.
Final touch
As long as you have any of the stakeable NFTs, you should be ready to go! Just make sure you have a WAX account in either Wombat or WAX Cloud Wallet — though, for your convenience, we recommend using Wombat as it supports all the blockchains that Dungeon Master utilizes.
