Hey there! i just wanted to thank you for up-voting my post yesterday "Is steemit Run like a third world country?". I've been putting up quality work for months now. Basically votes like yours are the reason I haven't left the platform. Every now and then I get a vote like yours by other dolphins/whales that make it worth it. But I get plenty of votes that pay nothing or next to nothing. It's totally killing my motivation on here and I'm completely on the fence about leaving the system as I'm putting too much time into this for peanuts. I don't have time to read other people stuff and network all day either. I enjoy the content creation side.
I just spent hours putting up all sorts of cool real life photos of life in Bangkok. Like out of one of those books in the library that depict people in the real. You can see they all have similar up-votes, but someone with your voting power hit on a couple and suddenly they pay 10x more (a whole 1.80, instead of 18 cents) but that's lunch for me in Thailand.
Can you talk to some of your steemit dolphin/whale buddies and help me out? I think I'm highly unique. I do real good quality articles and now great real life photos of my travels around the world. Long term I'm a great asset/content creator for steemit. I'm finding that there are many hidden, underpaid, and talented content creators on here that are feeling a similar way.
Thanks in advance,
Dan "World Travel Pro"
I'm too new to have buddies. But, your post got me thinking. I am the 1% here so, it's in my power to try change things. Best I act upper middle class and encourage the whales to upvote quality content. That means more networking for me. Keep up your thoughtful posts. I'll upvote where I can. So many minnows to feed :)
Hang in there if you can. These are no easy times for a platform like Steem though I'm hoping quality writers like yourself can graduate into dolphin-hood soon. I'll do what I can with the whales.
man you're a lord of steem, just checked out your wallet, well done man!
I bought my way into the (almost) 1% because I see the opportunities here. This is a third world economy and it needs transforming into first world for my investment to pay off. Welcome to Steem btw. Good to see you diversify from YouTube etc.
you're a smart guy man i'm glad i know you
Likewise.
