Ethics - morality, rules of conduct, what is permitted and what is forbidden to do in terms of attitude to good and worthy.

Rules of ethics - a list of rules, what is permitted and what is forbidden, that regulate the work of the journalist and help him in the dilemmas he encountered during his work.

The Press Council - an organization of Israeli journalists that includes the guest committee (representatives of major newspapers and representatives) public and academics. The Council is responsible for the existence of the rules of journalistic ethics and serves as an address to public complaints of the press

Professional ethics of the Israel Journalism Council

  1.  Checking the facts: Before publishing any information, the journalist and the media will check their readiness with the most reliable source and with due care. The urgency of the publication will not exempt the journalist from examining the correctness of the report
    
  2.  Correct errors, inaccuracies: Mistakes, omissions, or inaccuracies must be corrected with the speed and the appropriate remedy for the original publication
    
  3.  Privacy and Good Name: A journalist or a media body shall not publish information, without the consent of the person, to the detriment of his good reputation and privacy, if he is definitely in the public eye.
    
  4.  Minors A newspaper and a photo journalist shall not publish identifying details of a person who has not yet reached the age of 14 in circumstances that may harm his reputation or privacy with the consent of his parent or guardian appointed by the court
    
  5.  Conflicts of interest A newspaper or a media body shall not commit itself to a situation in which there is a suspicion of a conflict of interest between their duties as a newspaper or a journalist and any other interest.  
    
  6.  Good: about the interest involved in his journalistic work
    
  7.  Journalistic Confidentiality: A journalist or a media body shall not disclose information provided to them, the identity of the source of such information at the source's conclusion
    
  8.  Loyalty to the truth A newspaper and a journalist shall not publish anything that is not true, inaccurate or misleading
