Ethos released version 1.2.9 earlier this month.
My sentient AI did not read the updates! not so sentient eh.....eyh?
If you were dual mining, you may have experienced GPUs running wild, low hash rates, and card failures.
After 27.309 hours, my system discovered that the dual mining code has changed.
Used to be like this....you put "d" coding into the Claymore.stub.conf
#Claymore Stub copy and paste
#-mode 0
#-dpool stratum+tcp://us-east.siamining.com:7777
#-dwal walletaddress.worker
#-dcoin sia
So they changed the setup in 1.2.9 - You no longer have a Claymore.stub.conf file (confused the hell out of my circuits for a hot kilocycle!) - Instead, you just add some info the the local.conf (or remote, depending on needs):
dualminer enabled
dualminer-coin sia
dualminer-pool sia-eu1.nanopool.org:7777
dualminer-wallet dualcoinwalletaddress.worker
dualminer-poolpass x
claymore=flags -dcri 30
You can set this up with pretty much any compatible dual coin, just fill in the algorithm where the coin "sia" is, and the other info you need.
That's it! Hashing faster than ever on both coins. I had almost reverted back to 1.2.7, but no need, simple fix.
