Social investment platform eToro announced a partnership with seven football clubs of the English Premier League.
The partnership is generally of a marketing nature and is intended to popularize the blockchain and crypto-currencies, as well as eToro products. The agreement is signed with the clubs Brighton and Hove Albion, Cardiff City, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Newcastle United, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.
According to the company's representatives, eToro is proud that they became the first who "brought the Crypto-currencies to the Premier League". Also, the company is confident that the underlying crypto-technology of blockchain technology can solve various problems associated with the distribution of tickets for matches, making this process more transparent, as well as providing protection from counterfeiting.
