To pass the exams, you must study well. But how to cope with the stress that comes before the exams?

Apotheka pharmacist Merilin Nurk says that people tend to drink alot of coffee, energy drinks and all sorts of supplements that gives the body alot of energy. The energy boost is temporary. Your body is exhausted and stays awake only because of these energy giving foods and drinks. If you do this often then there is a big chance that you will just collapse. This is dangerous for your body. Only way to get back some energy is by sleeping and only sleeping.

I recommend to take some vitamin B on a stressful period of study. Their scarcity causes fatigue and disturbs the nervous system. Good sources of natural vitamin B are vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds.

Another important substance in this period is glutamic acid. It is a neurotransmitter that is important for learning and memorizing, also glutamic acid is important for the synthesis and degradation of sugars and fats. Glutamic acid is produced by the body itself, but during stressful times the body uses more glutamic acid than the body can produce itself. Food supplements may be helpful in this case.

To have more power, I recommend you to definetely eat some breakfast and atleast five handful of fruits and vegetables a day. Consume less salt and fat food. And ofcourse, drink water.
