I just finished a 10.264km running that lasted about 0hh:59mm:15.0ss !

Before I write about the run I want to thank everyone who has stepped in to help me out after I was maliciously downvoted by a certain rogue whale. I do not rely on my earnings here, but I will try to use then to help others. I do not self-vote or buy votes for Steem. It all gets powered up.
After yesterday's parkrun I was feeling a bit drained, but was determined to do my usual Sunday run. It was a bit wet out, but only rained for a few minutes. It was fairly quiet out with a few other runners and the regular dog walkers. I did the usual loop which is mostly on tarmac with some short stretches of grass/mud. My pace was down a lot on the 10k race last weekend, but that is the difference of resting on the days before and having other runners to push me along.
I just tried to not slow down too much. A 5:40/km pace is pretty comfortable for me these days. This was an opportunity to get some distance in my legs without too much strain. I will get back to interval runs during the week. I may even look at adding an extra run into my routine to see what difference that makes. Over the winter I would like to improve my parkrun times.
I saw three black squirrels today. I got fairly close to one, but there would not have been time to get a photo. I need to get out with me better camera to snap them. Podcasts included The News Quiz, Guardian Science and Home Assistant.
I had half a banana before I went out and finished it with some cereal on my return before showering. I have some chores to do today. It is not much of a day for going out.

We run into a lot of squirrels in our park as well. Most of the time our dog sees them before we do, but there are times that she is distracted and we have to point them out to her. It is funny to watch how her focus changes when she seas one.
I've heard they can be real pests for some people as they nibble on everything, but we rarely see them in our garden. These are not native to the UK, but they are very well established. The native red squirrels hang on in a few areas.
