Fire extinguisher is very important but sad it is to know that so many drivers, are ignorant of this fact.They drove about without fire extinguishers in their cars forgotten that no one predicts fire outbreaks.
While enroute to my place of work this morning, I noticed flames of smoke coming out from one Audi80 car that was being driven by a lady.But unfortunately, the lady did not not know that her engine,has been engulfed with fire.Immediately I overtook the woman, skidded a halt,elighted from my car.I started flagging her down.She stopped looking bewildered. As it is with women, she Started calling God and Jesus who are seated on their own.I immediately made an attempt to open the bonnet but the fire gushing out from the bunnet was so intense that I had to option but to cry out for help.
As if they were all expecting the call, legions of drivers pulled over,all ran to our rescue.We succeeded opening the bonnet. I asked the lady to quickly bring her fire extinguisher but to our surprise, she had non.So I and other drivers ran to our various cars brought out extinguishers and did justice to the fire while the lady was still shouting blood of Jesus,Blood of Jesus.I wonder if there is still blood left.
The damage done was not all that much.She thanked us and we left to our various places of work.
In fact the importance of of fire extinguishers cannot be over emphasized. In our medias and so many seminars and workshops, the the Federal Road Safety ,keeps emphasizing the importance of having fire extinguishers in our cars.So many lives has been lost all because of recklessness of not having fire extinguishers in their car.So let's make it a point of duty to buy and carry along with us in our car fire extinguishers so as to enable us remedy an emergency situation. Remember that what ever we do in this life, being safety conscious should always remain Paramount.

I have funny remembrance of fire extinguishers during my time at primary school. Some creep in our class liked to play with them. I hope now he knows this is not so funny to waste :D
