should I delete Facebook?

Facebook has suffered in these 3 weeks in the wake of Cambridge Analytica Data Scandal. Facebook is facing questions from lawmakers about how it handles users data.

It has also affected the FB shares. FB falls 13% this week to below $160

Chris Wylie, the 28-year-old data scientist who worked with a Cambridge University academic, turned into a fire and leaked to the newspapers how poorly Facebook handles people's private information. After the big hurdle Finally Mark Zuckerberg told CNN that, he was sorry for the “breach of trust”.

Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post: “We have a responsibility to protect your data, and if we can’t then we don’t deserve to serve you”

WhatsApp Co-Founder Brian Acton tweeted #deletefacebook. Followed by Tesla & SpaceX Co-Founder Elon Musk.

You can download your own archive of this data from Facebook. Here's how:

  1. Go to Facebook.com/settings
  2. Tap "Download a copy of your Facebook data."
  3. Tap "Download Archive."
It might take a few minutes, but Facebook will alert you when your archive is ready.
When it is, click "Download Archive" again, and a zip file will download to your computer.
Browse through that archive by opening each file inside the folder.

So what I personally think is that stop sharing Live Location post on your timeline, if you want to post pics upload latepost. A person has uploaded his passport pics and airplane tickets on facebook, soon some one has misued it! No one cares about your personal things! its totally insane uploading your personal documents .

Don't sign up third party apps with facebook. I know it is bit easier to login the account with facebook and then making a new account on such apps.

If any programmer is reading this, hey make decentralized apps!

Leaving facebook will be hard for majority of users, since it become a vehicle for communication, and still many dont know that there are more platform to replace fb, like steemit.

most of them are not aware of steemit! Change is needed!

Hope there will be a messaging app that runs on the steem blockchain too.

waiting for that only

I think the only bit of data they have on me that's correct is my name and I didn't give them my full name. I didn't give them my DOB or my phone number. I gave them info about a school I never went to, in a country I have never visited. I'm not shocked about how they've been using our data, I'm more surprised about the reaction to it. Most people seemed fine with all the data governments have collected on us, despite the fact that governments are notoriously bad at keeping data safe. Now they're deleting their Facebook accounts, why wasn't there as big a reaction to the revelations by Wikileaks and Edward Snowden? I dread to think what data Google and Amazon have collected and how that will be used in the future.

this has happened because of Brain Acton & Musk tweet!
