RE: introductory "face-fie" ... happy to officially steem :)

Hi @extippirience, or Tippi

I liked the expression ‘humanizing my SteemIt account’ - lol
Did it take you long before you did so?

I hope you will come to like the platform as much as I do. Being a newcomer, it can be though at times. There is a steep learning curve, and you may often feel overwhelmed by everything that is going on, and everything you need to learn about SteemIt. I know, I’ve been there :0)

I’ve been here for 5 months now - not too long to have forgotten what it is to be new here. It may all seem a bit complicated at first (with earnings that are a lot lower than they promised you in the ‘outside world’), but once you make it through the first couple of weeks and get the hang of it, you’ll discover SteemIt is a great place to hang out.

There will definitely be quite some people that will do as I do and offer you their help. That is the perfect example of what I was saying about SteemIt being a great place to hang out. It’s full of amazing, warm-hearted, helpful people, and together we help each other grow, and have a lot of fun at the same time.

If I can give you just one advice: accept their help. No one can make it on this platform alone. The community is the most important factor here.

Commenting and engaging is just as - if not more - important than posting. Definitely when you’re just starting out.
It helps you to meet and get to know people. Once you’re part of the community, you will notice you’re account will be growing pretty fast.

There are loads of different sub-communities with the main goal of helping newcomers to find their way. @newbieresteemday is one of them. We’re just a happy bunch of misfits who all started small and helped each other grow a little bigger, and now we’re dedicating most of our time to help new people to grow theirs. We also have an account called @newbiegames, which we use to organize and share games and contests, because joining those is a great way to make new connections and maybe earn some money while you’re at it.

Now, I’m risking an information overdose here, but I will take the risk ;0)
If you haven’t heard about Discord yet, I can really recommend installing it. It’s a chat-app where we hang around. It’s like the ‘behind-the-scenes’ of SteemIt. It’s a great place to ask for help, advice, or just to have a chat when you want to, or need some motivation.

The different communities all have their own channels on Discord. So let me invite you to our @newbieresteemday channel: https://discord.gg/h9WfHrE

Anothe one is the @asapers channel: https://discord.gg/xJDJNnY

No pressure. If you’re ready for Discord, just pay us a visit to say hi. Most of the time there will be someone there to welcome you.

Meanwhile, welcome to SteemIt and enjoy your journey. Most people are more than prepared to help out when needed, don’t forget :0)

hi there, i sure am stunned with all the "overdoze" welcome you've had, but on a very positive way :) thanks for the warmest welcome. looking forward to know the community, day by day, and hopefully be part of it

I hope you will feel at home soon ;0)
If there’s anyhing I or we can do to help, just give a yell ;0)
