One Yeti's Perspective # 302: Chasing God and Doing

in #faith8 years ago

Most things in the modern world feel as though they aren't real. Most social situations are engineered between people, and life has a way of slipping by.

As I live out my days Chasing God, I think about what it means to do so. What does it take to chase God. For me it means taking in information, discerning, and then living it out.

Not everyone will see things how I do....and that is ok!

Be well. Be encouraged. Be radical.

I was struck by one of your comments:… When you said that if we surround ourselves only with like-minded people, we will likely not grow…. I concur… and I would add the notion that... an insular approach to life could deprive others of opportunities to grow…
Because we each take with us daily our experiences and life lessons (BOTH personal AND surrogate/vicarious.... from our interaction with others - like-minded or NOT)
So... stick your neck out... join the fray... hit up a stranger and buy their coffee... ask about the meaning of their skin art or their bracelet, etc.

Right?

Right! We do often get ourselves in a position that we are almost afraid to hear opposition. Thats how we grow! Be well.

Thanks for another post @freedompoint I remembered the title of this video and was finally able to watch it.

I personally think that a person can chase God strongly enough to realize that chasing searching and seeking is no longer necessary.

Another way to phrase it is:

  • Everything you are seeking will eventually be found, but the fact that you are still seeking proves that there is much you have yet to find.

One of the things worth realizing is that the story of Christ is more typical for human beings than scriptures would imply. Many people are suffering in this world, and in terms of this earthly realm, many people have physically and emotionally suffered more than Christ.

So the story of suffering and unjust hardship is typical in this day and age, especially in 3rd World Countries (i.e. giving birth, living in war zones, etc.).

I hope this comment offered you a second perspective. I enjoy your videos 😊👍
