In my writings inside my blob, I have been talking about some values, in the moral and spiritual formation of people. Today, I will talk about family value.
This value is born and developed, when each member of the family assumes responsibility and joy, the role that he has played in it, being led by parents who wisely lead their children, teaching moral values, continuing with the religious and intellectuals, that prepare men of good, so that these values grow parallel to their age, can mature harmonically and emotionally and, thus they, can contribute mutually in family understanding and make their values grow.
A family with firm moral values, transmit them from generation to generation. I speak this with great propriety, because I have the example of my family ancestry that, from generation to generation, showed that solidity of men and women with defined moral stature and good people. That same moral essence, we descendants, although we, the generation of my parents here, touched something primordial and was to unite those values that we brought our ascendants, with positive religious values that many families do not receive by nobles that are.
The value of the family is based on the physical, mental and spiritual presence of people in the home, with availability for dialogue and coexistence, making an effort to cultivate the values in the person, and thus be able to transmit them and teach them
Parents have the responsibility of transmitting values to our children, in many cases we transmit only those we have learned and practiced more regularly in our lives, but there are some values that can not be lacking in family life, if we have not developed them and put into practice, we must do it, giving our children the opportunity to learn it and make it part of their daily life.
Before instilling a series of values for our children, parents must consider what is more important what we do or what we say. We must give coherence to our actions and behaviors. We have to set the example for our children to achieve a good family life:
 "Train the child in the right way, and even in his old age he will not abandon it". Proverbs 22: 6
The same values and virtues that should be practiced in an open and global society, are those taught in the family, because if society needs its citizens to be virtuous and men of values, the seedbed of those men with admirable moral gifts , is the family. For all this, if we want a virtuous society, we must form virtuous families. For this reason, I would like to emphasize that although we have been talking about some values such as empathy and solidarity, I want to devote a few lines specifically to the family, showing the values that should be cultivated in the heart of it:
We must teach our children to put themselves in the other's shoes and understand how others think and feel. Empathy is a necessary value for family coexistence. If we put ourselves in the place of our children, and understand that in that moment, that of what we are talking about, is the most important for them, in the purposes that are good to improve their behavior and their human, moral and spiritual welfare .
Can I teach my children love for the things of God, if I do not practice them?
In my home I had some discipline for my children related to punctuality to attend the moments of worship and praise to God, be very studious and precise in the work schedule, this they assimilated them and imitated my good example. Today I am filled with pride, and I have immense gratitude to God, because in addition to not having strayed from the way of the Lord, they are integral professionals who serve society and the Church of Christ.
The moral values in my family are projected towards God, as a principle of appreciation of his greatness and the recognition of his Chosen One.
It is necessary for our children to learn that they are not superior to the other people who live with them, in any sense, despite showing security in the capacities they possess. Living with a humble attitude will allow them to get to know each other better, assess their strengths and try to improve their weaknesses.
"The father of the righteous experiences great rejoicing; who has a wise son rejoices in him. "Proverbs 23:24
It is important that our children learn to value themselves. We can promote self-esteem through recognition in each of the positive actions they perform, without entering into excessive praise. In doing so, they feel that they are fulfilling our expectations and we provide them with security and self-confidence.
The commitment is a value that demonstrates maturity and responsibility. It is progressively acquired.

It is very valuable that our children learn to show gratitude. This value goes together with the positive gratifications, we show gratitude to our children, when we recognize that they do things well. Gratitude is not just about giving thanks, but it is born from the heart, from our interior, from appreciation of what someone does for us. When we are grateful to our relatives, neighbors or friends we show that we have an appreciation for others.
Our children must learn the value of friendship, of the mutual affection that comes from contact with the other. The true value of the word friendship, goes far beyond a simple personalized greeting or a social network. The fact that our children see how we treat our friends, how we care about them, is a good way to teach.
It is very important that our children learn to live life with enthusiasm and optimism, always looking for the positive side of things despite the obstacles that life presents us with. They must flee from negative thinking and think about how to improve or move forward. Let's not forget that our children will see in us the reflection of what they want to be in the future. As a school teacher I went for more than 15 years, I was always admired for my social work and leadership, which I carried out in the institutions where I worked and I was even more successful, when I retired from education, to fight for unprotected families of the region, my children, being adolescents, witnessed the triumphs that God granted me in favor of the Lord's church and the entire community. This example that they saw as leadership in me, injected them with that same charisma and today, they are people of great leadership in each of their professions that they have to perform.
Effort is a necessary value in today's society, characterized by immediacy. Our children have to learn that everything they want to achieve requires an effort. It is important to teach our children to set goals and strive to achieve them.
The happiness of our home should be the objective of the education we offer our children, to conquer their moral integrity, as a fundamental principle of their personality and that they are capable of transmitting and spreading happiness to others. For this it is important to cultivate, the fear of God, joy, enthusiasm, optimism, confidence and humility.
God expressed to the people of Israel certain norms and commandments, trying to preserve these values of family among them, as integral families of the people of God par excellence:
 "Record in your heart these words that I am commanding you today. Instill them continuously to your children. Tell them about them when you are at home and when you go along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6: 6-7 "
The apostle Paul and Silas expressed to the jailer, the night that God showed his power, when he was imprisoned in Philippi, the importance of one of the members of the family, especially the fathers, to mark the way to seek God and, thus, all the house, through example, would achieve the mercy of God:
"Believe in the Lord Jesus; so you and your family will be saved, they answered him. "Acts 16:31
The apostle Paul himself showed his concern for the unity of the family, an important value to grow and understand and in the form of supplication he told the brothers of Corinth:
 "I beseech you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that everyone live in harmony and that there are no divisions among you, but that they remain united in the same thought and in the same purpose. 1 Corinthians 1:10
The value of the family is the most important, because it trains and enables us to love God, and this not only in the family in the flesh, but also in the family of faith.
 If someone says: "I love God but he hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, can not love God, whom he has not seen. "1 John 4:20
The Psalmist rejoiced in speaking harmony.
 Psalm 133: 1 See how good and how delightful it is to have the brothers together in harmony!
