Baby Thieves, Autumn Leaves Music Parody And Commentary - Enjoy with Troy!

I offer to you an original song parody, based on the Eric Clapton's jazz standard, Autumn Leaves. My parodied lyrics are entitled, 'Baby Thieves.' supporting the protection of children. This haunting recording and interpretation by Eric Clapton is perhaps my favorite recording of this beloved classic. Take a listen to the words and music. I will return with a commentary.

Baby Thieves

The baby thieves
Who steal our children.
The fearful mom
With tears untold.

The wasted lives
With baggage littered.
The innocence
That's scared and sold.

Even children know
To steal is wrong
And with mom and dad
These kids belong.

So preserve protect, defend
These young ones,
When baby thieves
Start to call.

Guitar Solo

Even children know
To steal is wrong
And with mom and dad
These kids belong.

So preserve protect, defend
These young ones,
When baby thieves
Start to call.

Yes, preserve protect, defend
These young ones,
When baby thieves
Start to call.

Guitar Solo

That tearful final guitar solo cries out in its emotion and pain. So does the eyes of a stolen helpless child without a voice.

How amazingly beautiful and colorful leaves are on a tree. But when they are separated from the tree and fall to the ground, they wither and die. They crumble within the weight of our feet and rain and snow. So too is a child, who is stolen away from the family and trafficked for profit.

And the fall is painfully traumatic for the innocent.

Child Protective Services is a for-profit governmental agency, that neither protects nor is a service. The baby thief industry, an Orwellian strong arm, is incentivized with fat commissions to create broken homes, by displacing children to the care of strangers. Tools of manipulation, intimidation, surprise and outright lies are cleverly fostered to separate child from parents. Mom and dad may fight it in court, but the judges and lawyers are bought off or morally compromised, and their life savings is wasted.

But that is not all that is wasted.

Lives and innocence is wasted. These children enter a dangerous spiral of failure. These little ones are shuffled from home to home. Angry words and violent hands replace hugs and kisses. Fear and scare replaces real security. Many end up on the streets, in prisons or in graveyards.

Not only do these children fall, but they crumble and wither within the painful weight of psychological and emotional baggage. Childhood dreams and happy times are soon gone, and haunting nightmares on repeat is the norm.

And the leaf...er...child is fallen. But the parents share many of the same emotions through the steal and separation. Guilt, anger, loneliness, hopelessness, helplessness, desperation, abandonment, numb, and even suicide enter to rain and snow upon their lives. We know that leaves die to nothingness. So too, the innocent, who are not protected from the thieves and traffickers.

And it is all about profit over people.

Child trafficking, or the baby thief industry, makes more money than illegal guns and drugs combined. These helpless little ones are in high demand for sex and pedophilia. Yeah, we see the downward spiral and a wasted life, all for theft and money. Most children know the difference between right and wrong. They know not to steal, but our government and certain adults, have no conscience. I wonder what their mama ever taught them?

We must be there for the helpless and hurting. As the parodied lyrics express, these little ones need their mom and dad and we must preserve, protect and defend families and children. This means a zero tolerance, global non-compliance to child trafficking by the CPS or any other human traffickers.

With the falling leaves, they may miss their loved one most of all in autumn, but for a stolen child or separated parent, the the pain and grieving never leaves.

Will you be a friend to the family and the innocent? Will you help end baby thievery.

So so sad. I sang your lyrics to the tune. Well written but couldn't get past second verse 😭

God will be ultimate Judge in the end.

It is indeed a sad and unnecessary spiral to travel down. That is why we must be there for the innocent and families who lie prey to the vultures of child trafficking. Thanks for listening my friend.
