This system is another pasture cropping which apply the process of crop production.

It is otherwise called the growth or development of crops and grasses.

The pasture in the system is always a combination of grass and legumes.

The main arable crop is usually a cereal(wheat) and after this have been harvested the field is sown to pasture and grazed for one or two seasons before it is ploughed and used-for arable crops again so that it will be a mixed croping for the nutrient not to be lower.

Ley farming is therefore a planted fallow, including food cropping in which the field is left fallow for the season it is grown to pasture.

The use of various annual and perennial crops (grasses, legumes), grown in long-term and short-term, to manage the soil.

They alternate and combine these crops according to their compatibility and growth duration to give optimal desired effects.images.jpg

Most farmers who are unable to justify its economic value are therefore reluctant to include this in their crop rotation system. images.jpg.
Many farmer are use to this system although it is cost and its also make work faster and easier on land on like comparing zero tillage with conventional tillage.
