It is called bactericide because it contains toxic active ingredients that can kill bacteria.

Bacterial attack on plants is quite detrimental to farmers. This very small low-level plant is seen from its round, rod-shaped, and spiral shape. The length is between 0.15-6 microns and multiply by dividing.

With its very small size bacteria easily penetrate into the host plant through wounds, stomata, water pores, honey glands, and lenticell. In the plant, the bacterial enzyme will live its life, such as:

  1. break down the cells causing holes in various tissues.
  2. break down the flour into sugar and simplify the complex nitrogen compounds to get the energy to survive.

In addition, these bacteria also produce toxic substances and other substances that harm plants. Even produce substances that can stimulate the host cells to divide abnormally.

In the plant bacteria will react to cause disease according to type.

  1. Type of disease of water-carrying vessels.
These bacteria meet the water-carrying vessels and cause the path of water from the roots to the leaves are inhibited so that the leaves become withered. For example Pseudomonas solanacearum bacteria that cause brown rot on potatoes, eggplant, and tomatoes.

  2. Type of parenchymal tissue disease.
With the attack of parenchymal tissue will occur necrosis or decay of affected plant parts.

  3. Type of hyper plastic disease.
These bacteria stimulate the development of plant cells faster than usual so that the form of nodules, tumors, tubers, or swelling.

Bacteria can spread through various agents, such as seeds, tubers, stem cuttings, insects, birds, snails, caterpillars, humans, compost, and manure.

Bactericides are usually systemic because bacteria do destruction in the host's body. Soaking the seeds in a bactericidal solution is one way of application to control the Pseudomonas solanacearum that can affect the wilt of the Solanaceae family plant. For example, bactericide are Agrimycin and Agrept.

This is just my review of bactericide and bacteria that harm plants. I hope this post is useful for everything especially for farmers. If you like this post, please upvote and resteem, and if anyone wants to ask or want to add a review about bakterisida, please fill in the comments section.
