Another of the most common causes of this global tendency to beard is masculinity. According to a Braun study, 27% of Spaniards say they feel safer with a beard, recovering manhood from other times when all men wore hair on their faces. Women are also more attracted to bearded men, because of their rough appearance.
In many cultures the beard is a sign of wisdom, since only men who have lived a long time and who have a great experience manage to maintain a dense beard over the years.
Undoubtedly another factor to consider before letting the beard grow, is the opinion of the couple. According to the same study, 13% of the men surveyed confessed to having left a beard at the request of their partner. Another cause of success of the beard is the attractiveness, the vast majority of men feel more sexy beard.
Likewise, more than 40% of the men surveyed said they had to cut their beards in response to a request from their partner. A caress or a kiss can be very different depending on the type of beard or the lack of it, and while for many women it is an attractive element, for others it is a real nuisance.

Según el mismo estudio, el 13% de los hombres encuestados confesó haberse dejado barba por petición de su pareja. Otra de las causas del éxito de la barba es el atractivo, la gran mayoría de los hombres se sienten más sexys llevando barba.
Del mismo modo, más del 40% de los hombres encuestados asegura haber tenido que cortar su barba en respuesta a una petición de su pareja. Una caricia o un beso pueden ser muy distinto dependiendo del tipo de barba o de la falta de ésta, y mientras que para muchas mujeres resulta un elemento atractivo, para otras es un auténtico incordio.
