Gloom Rate

in #fast6 years ago

On the other hand, nutritional experts have developed a scoring system for nutrients in this system, as the over-the-board system is defined as junk food for health. In this evaluation, called Gloom Rate (GR), products; fat, cholesterol, sodium and sugar in the heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, dental decay and some types of cancer are taken into consideration by considering the negative effects. The coefficient used is a value ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 and indicates the nutrient density. If the nutrient density is high, it means plenty of vitamins, minerals and proteins. The nutrient is so big as to how rich it is in terms of these items.
So the lower the GR, the healthier the product. The following values are used for the GR account.
1 g. for polyunsaturated oil 0.9 points
1 g. for saturated oil 1.1 points
20 mg. for cholesterol 1.0 points
133 g. for sodium 1.0 points
10 g. for sugar 1.0 points
After food is assessed for these components, the total score obtained is the GR.
Total GR per day; 120 for men aged 15-50, and 90 for women.
