Howdy Melinda! Those are such excellent photos of the little guys! Just found one dead on our deck this morning. They'd built a nest under the eve of the deck and I guess one of the little ones didn't learn to fly very well. Very interesting that they live that long.

Thanks! I think the average life span is closer to 3 years. There are a lot of hazards for little birds!
Oh I guess that's true, it's a tough life out there for the little things!
