몇몇 남성들이 겨드랑이 제모 하는 것에 대해서는 어떻게 설명 해야 할까? 아무리 남성 수염이 멋지다고 해도 일부 사람들한테는 남성 수염이 싫다고 할텐데 말이다.
물론 털을 뽑는 건 피부에 좋지 못하다. (털 뽑으면 피부 손상이 심해진다고 한다.)
그런데 근본적으로 이렇게 된 건 사회가 획일화된 미를 추구하니 생긴 결과인데 사람들은 미의 기준의 형성과 lookism이 생기는 이유에 대해 생각하고 있지 않다.(여기에다 몇몇사람들 지적대로 왁싱샵, 면도기 회사가 여성을 대상으로 상술을 부린 것도 한 몫한다.)
그래서 기존의 체제와 결탁한 사회가 워낙 획일화된 미를 추구하게 만드니 저렇게 생긴 것인데 사람들은 경쟁을 유발해 사회 양극화를 일으키는 기존 체제에 대한 비판이 하나도 없다.
