I never knew the power of I am sorry till the day I received the deadliest slap of my life from a person very close to my heart, guess who? That's my mum.
As a very stubborn and disturbing child right from birth, my mum, whom because of her love always warn me whenever I do things wrongly. She did this consecutively without even have to beat me and all I could thought of was that; she can't beat me.
When I was 5, I started schooling at the very primary level. I was a very brilliant and intelligent person at that age, that most teacher, both the females and males, sort after and always wanted me by their sides. Most times, I was the reason why two or more of them fight. I was so loved by my colleagues in my class and hated by some; such is life, not everyone will be your friend!
Several weeks in school, I concealed my real attitude trying to get used to how things are done. Whenever my mother asked my teachers how a I was doing, they told her; He has always been cool and caused no trouble. My mum, on hearing this was flabbergasted and gave me a hug even though she knew it wasn't true. I said in my mind, this dude(teacher) didn't know me!!!
After being promoted to the next class, this time i was 7, I started unveiling my real self to whoever crossed my path, even the teachers and most of them were like; this boy wasn't like this. The question that arose was; how did he change overnight? No one had an answer to this. They reported me to my mum and all she could say was beat him whenever he proves stubborn. I knew she would never touch me!
After series of beating by the teachers in school, including the head master, I still didn't change. After some days, I beat up a junior student to stupor, this case got to the teachers and subsequently to the headmaster of the school. They were like; we are tired of beating you, this time I was suspended from the school.
My mum went to plead with the school authority, but all fell to their deaf hear. During the period of suspension, my mum wanted to travel and she got no option than to take me along. On getting to where she was travelling to, she warned me to please not to cause any problem here and I answered no problem Ma.
One fateful day, another boy, with his mum from that neighborhood came to pay a visit and welcomed us. After some period of time they were with us, something came up between me and the boy that I beat him till he fainted. My mum on seeing this, was very disappointed and sadness filled her face. She couldn't controlled her self that she gave me a very deadly slap that I landed in the hospital.
Hmm...On waking up from sleep, I thought this whole thing happened but only to find out I have killed more than 20 mosquitoes by my side.
