SEXUAL FANTASY VS THE REALITY IT BRINGS?
Tola and Kemi are a not-so recently married couple. They have been married for roughly 3 months. The joy of newlyweds was ebbing from the marital relationship. It all boiled down to their sexual relation. It was like a situation of fire meeting gallons of water.
Tola in his hay day as a bachelor was a player back in the day. Kemi on the other hand was the good, churchy-but-not-too-churchy lady. As diverse as their personalities so was their sexual knowledge. Pressured by their parents who are friends and age not been on their side, they had decided to tie the marital knot. But just 3 months later, they were at a crossroads.
Compared to what he was used to, Tola felt unsatisfied sexually, she wasn’t just doing enough. Kemi on the other hand was giving her all or so she felt but her partner still complained that it wasn’t enough. Fed up with the situation, she called a crisis meeting after dinner one evening.
“So what extra thing do you think I can do to make you happy sexually” she had asked. Her husband wondering how to answer the question replied, “I don’t exactly understand your question”. I mean is there anything you would want me to do that I am not doing now that will make you happy?
Tola thought of his answer carefully. It was a crazy idea and he didn’t exactly know how she would take it. Before he could properly package his reply, the words just flew out of his mouth. “Well, I don’t know how you would take it but I have always had the fantasy of having a threesome.......
What? She exclaimed. “Well you asked and..... before he could finish, she had stormed off to the bedroom (the visitor’s bedroom these days).

The D-day finally arrived. He had made sure everything was set and perfect. His only fear was his wife backing out on the deal, he still couldn’t believe she had agreed to do it. As soon as it was close of work, he dashed off to go pick her from work and take her to the hotel where he had booked a room. The lady who was to join them was a fling from his past that was into that “sort of thing”.

It’s been 6 months since they had had the threesome thingy and several other episodes since then. Joy had returned to the marriage but only for a while. Even though Tola got what he wanted and his wife seems to have liked it, he wasn’t enjoying it any more. The reason being that Kemi had become more and more distant since the tryst started. At first he wasn’t worried since he was getting what he wanted and was happy about it, but lately her behaviour was giving him cause for concern. She kept late nights, was gone some weekends to places she refused to tell him. She had become bolder somewhat and couldn’t really care less about him or so it seemed.
As a sharp guy that he was, he knew something was up. He got a PI to tail her, He couldn’t trust her anymore. On a certain day, the PI called him to come to a location. On getting there, he found Kemi with her lover, her female lover. Shocked, heartbroken and feeling betrayed (the lover was their threesome partner) he asked what this was supposed to mean?
Do you really want the truth? She asked. Forming a fist, he ordered her to tell him the truth, whatever it was.
Tola, when you requested we had a threesome, that it was what will make you happy, I felt broken and sad but had to give in so as to save my marriage, our marriage. After the first time I saw that I enjoyed it, therefore prompting you to make arrangement for more occasions. I saw it made you happy and it also made me happy, at least I told you that. What I didn’t tell you though is that it opened my eyes, like I had seen a revelation and discovered myself and some deep truth. You see, you were right when you said I wasn’t giving enough to make you happy sexually even though I thought I was. Honestly, it was neither my fault nor yours. I have come to realize the cause of the problem. I am not into men, I am a lesbian. I know this isn’t easy for you to take now. I should have told you earlier but I didn’t know how to put it.
Enough! He interjected. Better go to the house and park your things. We are done.
With that he stormed off, got in his car and drove into town. After driving around aimlessly and pondering over what he had just seen and heard, he decided to go to a bar and think it over critically while sipping some rum.
He picked an isolated corner of the bar to sit. He made his order and the bartender swiftly served him. What exactly did he really just hear? He asked himself. What will people say? In fact how was he even going to tell this tale? He can’t get divorced; his parents won’t even want to hear it. But how will he stay married to lesbian? Can he go his entire life staying married to a woman who shares their bed with another woman? To think he was the architect of this whole problem. Jeeez! If only he had been contented with his wife and tried to teach her to make her better? If only he had understood her and supported her? She had giving into his lust and fantasy but does that mean he should give in to hers too? He had used his hand to unearth a hydra-headed problem.
