A Knomira sees a human carrying a large bird on their shoulder. They try to pet the bird and the person states quite coldly they have to ask the bird's permission. "Why didn't you train your pet?" demanded Tourist Naom, as she was still trying to reach for the bristling avian on the fellow Human's shoulder. "It's irresponsible to take untrained pets into public spaces!"
"It's just as irresponsible to not ask permission before touching. Do you even own protector gloves?" The Human with a bird on their shoulder shied away from Naom, moving one arm to block her reach. "And this isn't my pet, they're my friend. This is Engineer T'riok, thank you very much."
"I don't care what fancy name you've given it," Tourist Naom went directly to fury and didn't even glance at listening or comprehension. "You're lucky I don't call Security on you, dragging around a dangerous animal like that. Someone could have been hurt."
The long arm of the law actually landed on Tourist Naom's shoulder. "Ma'am, we are going to have to ask you to cease menacing a Havenworlder or we will be forced to see you pass a basic education course on interspecies interactions."
Naom tried to bristle, and failed to throw off Security's grip. "You should be arresting them, not me! That's a dangerous animal! It tried to bite me!"
The Security guard sighed and rolled his eyes. "There's one every other week..." He snapped some restraints on Tourist Naom's wrists, and wrestled her towards the Corrections Sector. "My apologies, Engineer T'riok."
The apparent bird chirped and clicked, settling their feathers.
"They said that there needs to be an investigation," supplied the Human. "If there's ones like this every other week, the screening process needs some tweaking."
Naom still didn't understand what was happening as they dragged her away.

It's been how long knowing "aliens exist"?
Doesn't matter to some. I mean look at here in the USA where knomiras scream and call 9-1-1 because someone is speaking spanish and then demanding the police that show up arrest the person for speaking spanish because "This is America, we speak English!!"
Ignoring the fact that the USA is supposed to be a multi-racial, multicultural, multilingual nation.
And then said knomira screaming foul and actually, and sadly way too often, trying to kick, bite, and fight the officers who go to arrest them for harassing an innocent bystander.

Knomiras are a curse of hubris that needs to be tamped down TBH.
Some of their shenanigans have to be seen to be believed.
