The Exit.

Welcome to the latest in a series of new science fiction horror stories by yours truly, Jeezzle.

The Exit.

I'm awake.

It's freezing.

This is my first thought every time I wake up to the horror of my existence.

The cold metal box that is my world is incredibly confining.

It is a coffin filled with a white swirling mist that smells of antiseptic solution.

The freezing surface burns both my arms and my forehead and the claustrophobia feels like it's crushing me.

As the mist begins to clear I hear a clicking sound in the distance and I know that I will soon be pulled into something even more terrifying.

It happens every night.

Assuming that it is night. I have no concept of time.

The clamps lock on to my legs.

With a loud whirring sound a large mean machine pulls me onto a cold long table.

I'm thrown down on the surface with a bang as if to say you are as unimportant as a suitcase.

I cannot move even a muscle as I stare up at the intensity of the burning bright light.

It is has been my only Sun for as long as I can remember.

My olfactory senses begin to detect the smell of mint and something else. It makes me want to retch.

A giant shape lumbers my way. It is shrouded in dark colors, or at least my mind tells me that it is.

The overwhelming bright whiteness disallows too much knowledge. I cannot make out what they look like.

I don't know who they are and I only have glimpses of insight into who I am.

I think a sharp object is cutting me but it is difficult to feel anything at all.

I cannot move my head as a long needle surfaces through the Sun and approaches my left eye.

I want to scream but I am not even sure if I have a mouth.

Something drips from the left side of my head and onto the table.

Clickety clack Clickety clack.

Yakety Yak don't talk back.

I'm losing my mind. Anyone would.

I'm slowly being placed back inside the coffin.

Both my arms scrape the sides.

Before the mist fully fills it up I see an image from the corner of my eye.

The metal is transparent and there are several of these coffins connected.

There's a body in the coffin next to me without it's head.

I wish I could make a tear form.

I hope they were not awake for that but in my heart I know that they were, and I am falling asleep whether I want to or not.

I'm awake.

It's freezing.

nice post @jeezzle ;)

I like it. Reminds me of Stephen King before he started writing about aliens coming out of people's butts.

Yep. It feels good having a little bit of power. Now if only the price of Steem would go up a little bit.
