With a kind of pride, Indy walked into the lab and saw two men leaning over a piece of equipment, working diligently. Almost as if he had heard Indy's silent tread one of the men turned his head, revealing a pointed ear, and looked over his shoulder. Upon seeing Indy, he tapped his companion on the shoulder and pointed back to the boss. After carefully putting down the fusion cutter, the second man brushed his hands on his pant legs. Both rose to their feet and nodded.

The first, a tall austere, dark haired Vulcan stated, "Good afternoon Captain. I trust that you are well." The Chief Research scientist met Indy's eyes and held them for a moment.

"Yes, Sarn, I am." Indy turned to the second man, a slight, medium built human with fair hair and hazel eyes. "How's it going Fred?"

Fred Balok, the Associate Research Scientist smiled warmly, "Fine sir, the dynascanner will be ready soon."

Indy returned the smile, "Good, keep up the good work." Both men nodded, then went back to work. Within seconds, they were so engrossed with the scanner that they didn't see Indy leave.

His next stop was the sickbay, where he saw two women, one human and one Andorian. Both were tall, had long blonde hair and blue eyes. The human's name was Shelly Mendez and the sickbay was her domain, while the Andorian was Jania Killian and her job was communications. Then he went to engineering, located at the aft part of decks four, five, and six, more to see the Chief Engineer than to inspect the engines.

As always, Stonek kept the engine room so clean that a person could eat off the deck plates. Part of his neatness came from the Vulcanian heritage, as well as his family background, him being the grandson of the owner of Shuvinalljis warp technologies.

After visiting the bridge and finding it deserted, a sudden burst of inspiration struck and he knew without a doubt that the objects of his search would be in only on place. So with that thought in mind, he left the bridge and took the turbo lift to deck five and went to the room that he shared with his wife.
